The Auzon Viaduct
Cluis

(JPG) Built in 1899, this former railway viaduct is made up of twenty arches, and is 500 metres long and 42 metres high. It was used by the SNCF (French railway company) until 1952 for trains running from Argenton sur Creuse to La Châtre. When the line was closed, the rails were removed in 1954, and in 1972 the parish council bought the viaduct and the surrounding land. This viaduct is regularly used by walkers and pilgrims on their way to Saint James of Compostela. Bungee jumping.
