We offer you to go back in the past and discover the Berry which inspired the writer for her rustic novels. An opportunity to immerse yourself in the 19th century daily life of country women and to realize how modern George Sand was.

10:00am : Guided tour of George Sand’s house in Nohant, the park, and the puppets of her son, Maurice Sand, : throughout her life, Nohant was her refuge, her favourite place for inspiration and creation, a place where she welcomed the greatest romantic artists (Chopin, Liszt, Delacroix, Tourgueniev...).
12 :00pm : LUNCH
2:30pm : Guided tour of Angibault Mill. For her novel « The Miller of Angibault » George Sand was inspired by the site located on the edge of the Vauvre.
4:00pm : Guided tour of the Folk Museum. The old farm of the small market town village revive the peasantry at the time of George Sand. Discover the workshops of the blacksmith and the clog maker, the old cowshed, the traditional house from Berry and a fine set of agricultural machines. Also, a film on the life of women at that time will be shown. Tasting of local products. 5:30pm : End of the visit.
